Texting
Text Messages: How Opt-In Works
The short version: we text you only if you asked us to — by pressing 1 at our phone greeting, saying yes to a person, or signing up on this page. If you call and we miss you, and you opted in, we may send one text back about your call. That's the whole program. Nothing promotional, no message series, and one word stops it for good.
1. How you opt in, and when we text you
Text messages from us follow one event: you call our published business number, (469) 587-8280, and we can't pick up. But a missed call alone never triggers a text. We text you only after an affirmative opt-in, which happens one of three ways:
- Press 1 at the greeting. When you call, the greeting offers one text back about your call and invites you to press 1 if you want it.
- Say yes to a person. If a human answers and offers a text follow-up, a spoken yes is your opt-in.
- The form on this page, below.
If you do none of these, we do not text you. Silence is not a signup. Staying on the line is not a signup. Hanging up is not a signup. Here is the greeting you hear when you call:
"Marque & Heir. For one informational callback text, press 1. No press, no text. Msg and data rates may apply. Reply STOP. Consent is optional, never required for service."
And when a person answers instead of the greeting, the ask is just as plain:
"Marque & Heir. May we send one informational callback text to this number? Say YES to consent. Consent is optional and not a condition of service. Msg and data rates may apply. Reply STOP." — and on a yes: "Thank you. We will log this number, the date and time, and your YES."
When you press 1, say yes, or submit the form below, we record your opt-in before any text is ever sent: the number, the date and time, and which path you used. That record is kept with your message history, and it's how we prove to ourselves — and to the carriers — that every text was asked for.
2. Opt in here: the web form
You don't have to call first. This form does exactly one thing: it records your opt-in — your name, your number, the date and time, and that it came from this page. Submitting it does not send you a text. Texts only ever follow a call you place to us that we can't pick up.
3. What we send, and what we never send
The text you receive identifies us and responds to your call. That's its whole job. It never contains promotions, coupons, discounts, sales offers, or links asking you to buy anything. One call gets at most one first-touch text; if you reply, a real person answers you, and if you don't, we don't keep texting. Consent to receive texts is never a condition of buying anything from us, and we never sell or share your number for anyone else's marketing.
4. How often, and what it costs
Message frequency varies with your own calls: at most one text per call you place to us, no recurring messages, no message series. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
5. How to stop, any time, any way
- Reply STOP to any message. END, QUIT, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, and STOPALL work too, and so do plain words like "please stop texting me."
- You'll get at most one confirmation that you're opted out, and then nothing further.
- You can also opt out by emailing [email protected], calling (469) 587-8280, or using the contact page.
- We process opt-outs immediately. Whatever channel you use, your request is honored, and never later than ten business days.
6. Quiet hours
We send texts only between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM in your local time zone, and not before noon on Sundays. A call that comes in outside those hours gets its text back when the window opens.
7. Need help?
Reply HELP to any message, or email [email protected], and a person will help you.
8. Your information
Your number, your opt-in record, and your message history are handled exactly as our Privacy Policy describes: used to respond to you, never sold.
